I have
I have lived a thousand lifetimes
Between the rising and the falling of the sun
I have walked carefully and lightly
On a path not travelled before
But left footprints that will echo
For years to come
I have breathed a thousand breaths
In the time one seed forms
Carried in wind, washed by sea
Grown in the warmth of chest
I have touched ever gently
With hands never used before
Cradled life, buried death
I have lived deep in laughter
Graced by smile and warm regards
Held aloft, cradled down
In the belly of the earth
And by night gaze above
For I am star and sea alike
Dream softly and dream fondly
Of the warmth that lays me down.
